The Orchard Community
Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”
The Orchard Community was birthed as a house church movement in May, 2021. It began as a single house church, The Well, covered by DOVE USA and their House to House network. From the beginning, the heart and vision was for multiplication of house churches that would be interconnected. Today, The Orchard is a network of house churches that meet individually and corporately. An integral part of our community is being interconnected on a regular basis through our Community Gatherings, which meet monthly, and other ministries such as youth group, men's and women's groups, bible studies, worship/prayer nights and other social gatherings. We believe this structure provides cross-pollination which encourages strength and growth spiritually, mentally and physically.
Vision
Our vision is to expand the Kingdom of God here on earth through living, loving, and leading like Jesus with one another, in our local communities and to the nations.
Mission
Our mission, as a network of house churches, is to bring glory to God in all we do and work together to establish an environment that cultivates spiritual growth for every believer through discipleship, fellowship and prayer. We will do this through dependence on the Holy Spirit, unity with one another, and a commitment to teaching Scripture while giving room for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to move.
The Orchard Apostolic Council
The Orchard Community is led by a team of committed and seasoned believers who have a heart to see the vision and mission of the community come to fruition. They provide oversight, encouragement, counsel and guidance to the local churches and assist in the vision casting and the administrative and practical needs of the community. Prophetic intercession, discipleship and teaching are core focuses of this team.
